The Process

Need for restoration:

Over time, a beautiful patio can fade and become dingy from exposure to the elements and normal wear and tear. Even though patios generally require little maintenance it is recommended that restoration services be completed every 3-4 years in order to keep your patio looking and performing its best.

Cleaning process:

In order to revive your patio, there are 3 basic steps involved. First, there may be some pavers that have become loose and uneven caused by anything from a faulty installation to harsh winter conditions. These pavers will be reset and leveled. Second, the patio will be pressure washed in order to remove built up dirt, moss, weeds and old, failed poly-sand. Finally, the joints will be filled with premium polymeric sand. This high-quality sand will prevent water from eroding the compacted base as well as deterring weed growth.

Sealing:

Applying sealer to your patio is the important last step. A high-quality sealer will protect your patio from water seeping into the compacted base, prevent staining as well as deterring mold growth. It also restores color contrast and gives the patio a rich, like-new appearance.
